  • Rise Therapy & Wellness is a virtual mental health service. Services are provided via video and telephone.

  • The free consultation call has a duration of 15-minutes. The therapeutic relationship is important as it is important to the healing journey. During the 15 minute free consultation call, you will have the opportunity to see if the therapist is a good fit for you and the therapist. If it is not a good fit, the therapist may provide you with a referral to another professional that fits your therapy needs.

    • A sliding scale fee is offered on a case-by-case basis. This can be discussed during the free 15-minute consultation call.

    • Rise Therapy & Wellness is in-network with Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, and Aetna. Additionally, for out-of-pocket clients, we offer a “super-bill” at the completion of each month, which the client has the opportunity to submit to their insurance provider for reimbursement which may depend on the subscriber’s plan.

  • Client information is kept completely confidential, by California Law. California law protects the confidentiality of therapeutic relationships by recognizing that therapeutic relationships are privileged. No details regarding clients and/or information shared within a session will be disclosed without written consent from the client. However, there are circumstances in which confidentiality does no apply. By law, therapists have to fulfill legal duties as a mandated reporter, and the following are circumstances where confidentiality no longer applies:

    • Threat of harm to one's self and/or another person.

    • Cases of suspected and/or demonstrated elder abuse.

    • Cases of suspected and/or demonstrated child abuse.

    • Cases of suspected and/or demonstrated dependent adult abuse.
